explain your purpose

so this site was a long time coming but only just conceived a couple short weeks ago. well not altogether "short" weeks to be honest (but more on that shortly).

i had been wanting a forum to put up some photos and perhaps get back into writing on a more regular basis. primarily a selfish need to put some thoughts and images out there - if only to get them off my own mind.  a few weeks ago whilst in conversation with my friend dariusz (displacedmontrealer.blogspot) we shook hands on us both committing to posting an image a day over the course of each month. perfect. the impetus i had been too lazy to locate myself.

but this was all before...

things then proceeded to turn upside down  a few days later when i was let go from my unfulfilling finance job and tracked down by a long-lost love in the space of two days.  the proverbial rug had been most certainly yanked out from underneath.

with regards to the job: great thing, poor timing. 

with regards to the long-lost love: inconclusive, emotionally charged, poor timing.

with regards to my general emotional state: MELANCHOLIC.

this blog will perhaps be nothing more than the rambling words and photos of a man caught between life's chapters.  i hope it will be more.  at the very least it is a document of a definitive time.
